Rotterdam viert 10 jaar Koningsdag!

Vandaag is het 3 maanden geleden sinds de viering van Koningsdag én 10 jaar Koningschap in Rotterdam. Op 19 april jl. trapte gaststad Rotterdam het 10-daagse Stadsprogramma af. De stad kleurde oranje met een vleugje groen-wit-groen in aanloop naar 27 april. De viering van Koningsdag 2023 en 10 jaar Koningschap was een geweldig feest voor de Koning en zijn familie, voor de Rotterdammers en voor de bezoekers. In het vandaag gepubliceerde online magazine blikken we terug op deze dag en alle activiteiten eromheen en delen we de resultaten van de viering van Koningsdag in 010. Het onderzoek, uitgevoerd door Cigarbox en R2 Research, geeft inzage in het bereik van Koningsdag, de waardering en de impact op de stad (economisch, sociaal, imago).

Dit zijn de resultaten van Koningsdag in Rotterdam

Nieuwe producten en onverwachte relaties tussen ondernemers en sociale initiatieven. Dat is het resultaat van Oranje voor Goed. Vóór Koningsdag ontstaan, maar allesbehalve voorbij. De teller van de opbrengst staat nu op bijna 17.000 euro. Met de duurzame relaties die zijn ontstaan en de <a href="https://www.goodiesforgoodness.nl/c-6871919/koningsdag-2023/" target="_blank">Goodies for Goodness</a>-shop is dit een mooie tussenstand.

Met een Koningklijke High Tea op hoog niveau bedankte Rotterdam de kanjers van Stadsbeheer die de stad zo mooi, veilig,  schoon en heel hebben gehouden op Koningsdag. Ook de vrijwilligers die geholpen hebben om de stad weer schoon te maken na een onvergetelijke Koningsdag in 010 waren uitgenodigd. Allemaal Kings & Queens!

Morgen is het zover.. Koningsdag met Koninklijk bezoek in Rotterdam! Een extra bijzondere Koningsdag, omdat we ook 10 jaar Koningschap vieren. Het wordt een fantastisch feest voor alle Rotterdammers, en voor iedereen die bij ons op bezoek komt die dag.

Nog 1 (Konings)nacht...

Op donderdag 27 april 2023 kleurt Rotterdam oranje met een vleugje groen-wit-groen. Een extra bijzondere Koningsdag, omdat we ook 10 jaar Koningschap vieren. Het wordt een fantastisch feest voor alle Rotterdammers, en voor iedereen die bij ons op bezoek komt die dag. We zetten in dit bericht nog even alles op een rij.

Alles wat je moet weten over Koningsdag

Rotterdam kleurt Oranje met een vleugje groen-wit -groen! Deze Koningsdag zijn de extra X-large vlaggenlijnen en banieren niet te missen. Ze zijn gemaakt van gerecyclede materialen of ze worden na Koningsdag weer gerecycled tot nieuwe (kunststof) producten. Want het Rotterdam van de toekomst: dat is een samenleving zonder afval. Kunstenaars en bedrijven die de stad aankleden, geven we dan ook een belangrijke voorwaarde mee: circulariteit.

Het Rotterdamse foodplatform de Buik en gaststad Rotterdam op zoek naar het lekkerste Rotterdamse Koningsgerecht. 
 

Gerecht Oranje-Bitter van chef Peter van der Winden is donderdag 20 april 2023 uitgeroepen tot hét Rotterdams Koningsgerecht. Hij presenteerde dit gerecht voor een vakjury in <a href="https://www.debuik.nl/rotterdam/uit-eten/dudok-aan-de-maas-een-culinaire-vakantiebestemming-in-eigen-stad" target="_blank">Dudok aan de Maas</a>, met uitzicht op de Erasmusbrug. Peter imponeerde de jury met de koninklijke smaken en combinaties. De jury bestaande uit onder meer TV-chef Per de Man en Buik-oprichter Gijsbregt Brouwer roemde de Rotterdamsheid van het gerecht. Chef Peter mag zijn gerecht op Koningsdag aan Koning Willem-Alexander en Koningin Máxima presenteren.

Naast het Koningspaar en de prinsessen Amalia en Ariane, waren ook prinses Beatrix en prinses Laurentien aanwezig. Meer dan 150 artiesten met hun roots in deze stad vertelden samen een verhaal van een leven en het leven in Rotterdam.

10, 9, 8… het aftellen is nu écht begonnen. Al vóór Koningsdag op 27 april is het feest in Rotterdam. Sport, dans, muziek, kunst, eten, drinken en samenzijn. Een kleurrijk en gevarieerd programma voor alle leeftijden en verspreid over heel de stad.

Known and unknown Rotterdammers are having their picture taken en masse for Kingsday! In recent weeks, many Rotterdammers have already started making their own unique royal  portrait. Because, with tips from the Rotterdam Princess Ari Deelder, a royal portrait can be made in no time. As of today, the Rotterdam project organization presents a selection of 10 official portraits: 10 Kings & Queens consisting of resilient Rotterdammers, each with a unique and own story and will all be seen in the Kingsday program and/or in the decoration of the city. The series of 10 was captured by the Rotterdam photographer Marwan Magroun.

Host city Rotterdam received no fewer than 50 entries from residential buildings and residents from Pernis to Ommoord. So much enthusiasm! A challenge for the jury members of Oranje at Home to choose the 10 most special buildings. That is why two orange wildcards have also been handed out: To the windmill De Hoop in Rozenburg and the refugee boat in the Maashaven. More than 1100 balconies and a lot of Rotterdammers will decorate their palaces with the XXL flags designed by Studio VollaersZwart. This is how Rotterdam, in the run-up and on King's Day, turns orange in all corners of the city, with a touch of green-white-green.
