Decorate your own palace with Oranje at Home

Introduction
In the run-up to and during King's Day, Rotterdam turns orange with a touch of green-white-green. It will be a fantastic party for all Rotterdammers and for everyone who comes to visit us that day. And that’s what we want to see as much as possible in many Rotterdam neighborhoods. Because this year the King is also celebrating 10 years of kingship, you and all residents of your residential building can win one of the 10 Oranje at Home packages. To put your own palace in the spotlight!
King's Day is a celebration of togetherness. To create that sense of togetherness and allow everyone to participate in the festivities as much as possible, you can win an Orange at Home package that you can use to decorate your entire residential building together with your neighbours. The package therefore contains XXL flag lines, specially designed for this King's Day by studio VollaersZwart. They are produced sustainably and afterwards it is possible to return them for reuse. But of course, you can also keep them to use again next year. After all, it's King's Day every year! With the Orange at Home package you and your neighbours put your residential building in the spotlight. And 3 of the 10 residential buildings also win a customized decoration party!
How do you participate?
Easy! Register your residential building by sending an email and who knows, maybe your building will look just as cool as on these example photos! From apartment blocks and student houses to senior citizens' flats: everyone who lives in a residential building in Rotterdam can participate. You can register until 12 March at the latest by sending an email to Koningsdag@rotterdam.nl. In this email we would like to receive:
- The name of your building and address details, including 1 or 2 photos
- The name and contact details of a contact person for your residential building
- Described in a few lines why your building should be put in the spotlight.
Good to know
Every applicant (1 person as applicant per building) who meets the conditions has a chance. By participating in this promotion, you give permission to share the data from your entry with the organization of King's Day in Rotterdam, 10 years of Kingship – host city Rotterdam 2023.
So, enthuse your neighbours, register your building and who knows, you might celebrate this King's Day in style with your fellow residents! Winners will be notified on March 16, 2023.

All entries are judged on the enthusiasm of the residents, the technical feasibility, the type of building and the location of the complex. For example, we try to keep an eye on all neighborhoods and living styles in Rotterdam and we want the widest possible distribution in our city.
The jury that assesses the applications consists of Alice Vlaanderen (project director King's Day in Rotterdam), Pascal Zwart (Studio VollaersZwart), Annemieke van Wegen-Delhaas (Head of Citybranding and Citydressing), André Hammink (district director of the Municipality of Rotterdam), Reinier Weers (coordinator of the Rotterdam city program Festivals) and Nell Broekhuizen (resident of the winning building of the SING ALONG at home action during the Eurovision Song Contest).
