Walk the route

Introduction

From the Afrikaanderwijk, across the Nieuwe Maas to the Binnenrotte in the center. That is in short the Royal route on King's Day on April 27. Walking and crossing over the water with water taxis, the Royal Family gets to see Rotterdam in all its versatility: different cultures, art, architecture, history and future.

Imagine yourself King & Queen and walk the King's Day route in Rotterdam. The route draws a line through the city that offers a complete picture within one kilometer and with a crossing over the water: you see and experience cultures, art, architecture, innovation, food, history and the future. Download the route here, including surprising facts and trivia for the road, so you've really been there! Did you know that parts of the route have already received royal visitors? Book the Water Taxi from Maashaven jetty to Leuvehaven-Centrum jetty well in advance (watertaxirotterdam.nl), or walk via the Erasmus Bridge.
